A telephone consultation can be made in person or by telephoning the practice. Emergency appointments are available daily by calling the surgery from 8.30am. You will be seen by any general practitioner on that day.
Practice nurse clinics are by appointment only and a letter will be sent out to you advising of a date and time to attend or a text message with a booking link. If there is something you are concerned about you may also make an appointment with the nurse by telephoning the practice.
Treatment Room clinics are by appointment only. Please book appointments for dressings or post surgery for the removal of stitches as soon as you have been advised!
Please make a separate appointment for each person. If you are booking a GP appointment for a form or procedure please speak with a receptionist as you may need more than one appointment and assistance with a nurse.
Telephone Advice
Interruptions during surgery are upsetting both to doctors and patients. If you wish to speak to a doctor by telephone please ring the practice at 8.30am to book a telephone slot (limited availability each day).
Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
Home Visits
Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 11:00am.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP.
