The GPs and staff at The Frocess Medical Centre realise that the Coronavirus (Covid-19) is creating a lot of stress and anxiety within the local community. In sharing this post we would like to reassure our patients that your health and well being is paramount to us and we will do everything we can to ensure you are supported through this challenging time. Over recent days the situation has evolved quickly and as a practice we have acted under the guidance of the Public Health Agency and the Health and Social Care Board. These changes to our daily working routine have been implemented for both patient and staff safety.
Currently all appointment requests should be made by telephone and your medical problem will then be triaged. Your health problem may be dealt with over the telephone or the doctor may bring you into the practice provided you are symptom free of the coronavirus i.e. no new continuous cough and/or a high temperature. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms please stay at home and do not go to your GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. You should refer to the NHS 111 website (www.111.nhs.uk) or ring 111 for advice. Prescription requests can be made by ringing the practice, where you can choose to leave a message or speak to a receptionist.
Alternatively you can leave a written request into the prescription box which is placed in the porch area of the practice or your medication can be ordered on our website (www.frocessmedicalcentre.co.uk). Please contact the practice to receive login details in order to avail of the practice’s online prescription ordering facility. Repeat prescription items will be available 48 hours after ordering and there is no need to double up on your order quantities.
We appreciate the telephone lines will be busy and we will do everything in our power to turnaround calls as safely and quickly as possible. We would respectfully ask for your patience during these challenging times.
The aim of our practice is "to provide the highest standard of care for our patients in a caring, professional and friendly environment."
With patients' needs at the heart of everything we do, our website has been designed to make it easy for you to gain instant access to the information you need. As well as specific practice details such as opening hours and how to register, you’ll find a wealth of useful pages covering a wide range of health issues along with links to other relevant medical organisations.
Get Well, Keep Well
Of course we’re not just here for when you are unwell. Our team of healthcare professionals and back-up staff offer a number of clinics and services to promote good health and wellbeing whatever your medical condition.
We hope you enjoy having a look around the site and familiarising yourself with some of the online features such as ordering a repeat prescription. Whatever your thoughts, be sure to let us know via our feedback function. Comments and suggestions are always a great way of helping us continue to enhance the way we look after you.
